The 3rd UzChess Cup Masters 2026 has kicked off in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The top seed at the Masters is the local hero Nodirbek Abdusattorov, while India's No.1 Arjun Erigaisi is the 2nd seed. The first 2 round of the tournament are done, and Mukhiddin Madaminov, who is also the second of the Candidates winner Javokhir Sindarov, is leading the tournament with 2/2 points after scoring a huge win over Ian Nepomniachtchi in the 1st round. Samuel Sevian scored an unbeaten 5.5/9 points to win the 7th Stepan Avagyan Memorial Round Robin Chess Tournament 2026. This was Sam's second time winning this event. In the final round, he defeated the defending champion, Aravindh Chithambaram, to clinch the title. IM Savitha Shri Baskar scored an unbeaten 7.5/9 points to become the Asian Women's Individual Chess Champion 2026. Savitha started the tournament on the 6th rank with a rating of 2374. She played tremendous chess and scored 2 consecutive wins in the last 2 rounds to clinch the title. Savitha played with a performance rating of 2555 and increased rating by 19.5 points, taking it to 2395! With this win, Savitha also qualified for the FIDE Women's World Cup 2027.

IM Aradhya Garg scored an unbeaten 8/9 points to win the Shri Dhanpat Rai Sachdeva Memorial Open FIDE Classical Chess Tournament 2026. Aradhya remained unbeaten throughout the event and defeated Rosh Jain, who is a talented youngster from Delhi itself. Seven players scored 7.5/9 points to finish in 2nd to 8th places, respectively. Tiebreak scores helped IM Ajay Santhosh Parvathareddy and IM Neelash Saha to secure 2nd and 3rd place.
