Sriram Adarsh Uppala and Tejaswini G are the 34th National Under-17 Open and Girls Chess Champions 2024
01/08/2024 - Sriram Adarsh Uppala (TEL) and WIM Tejaswini G (TN) scored an unbeaten 9.5/11 and 8.5/11 each to win 34th National Under-17 Open and Girls Chess Championship 2024 respectively. Arpith S Bijoy (KER) also scored 9.5/11. He secured second on tie-breaks. Four players - FM Jaiveer Mahendru (MAH), Nandish V S (TN), Abhinav Raj (DEL) and Mukund Hemant Agarwal (GUJ) scored 8.5/11 each. They were placed third to sixth respectively. In the Girls event, three more - Kirthika B (TEL), WCM Anupam M Sreekumar (KER) and Sravyasree Bheemarasetty (AP) also scored 8.5/11 each. They finish at second to fourth place according to tie-breaks. This is Sriram's second overall, first rating tournament triumph of the year.
